We are located in the Greater Toronto Area.

No. We’re strictly an e-commerce store.

What is an acoustical absorption coefficient?

The absorption coefficient is a common quantity used for measuring the sound absorption of a material and is known to be the function of the frequency of the incident wave. It is defined as the ratio of energy absorbed by a material to the energy incident upon its surface.

1 would mean something completely blocks off sound.  Hardwood is around 0.2-0.3.

Our panels has an acoustical coefficient between 0.4 and 0.5.

I have a noisy neighbour - will these panels block out the sound?

These panels will reduce the sound. It depends on the size of the space and how much coverage you want. For example, how many walls are there? What’s the layout of the open space? What’s the portion of the wall you want to cover?

The great thing about our product is that you can buy a smaller bundle pack to try and expand to the entire wall at a later point in time. And if you want to absorb more sound, you can even stack these panels on top of another.


 

How well do these panels help with absorbing noise through a wall?

It absorbs between 40%-50% of the noise but not all.

The panels are meant to absorb some of the sound to dampen the reflection of that sound or echo within a space.

 

What’s the normal conversational noise in an office?

To put things into perspective:

  • A quiet office has a decibel of 60-65 dBA
  • Normal conversation has a decibel of 60-70 dBA
  • City Traffic has a decibel of 85 dBA
  • Level of which sustained exposure may result in hearing loss has a decibel of 80-90 dBA
